KUCHING: Two clubs for cars by national automakers held a joint event at a local cafe last Saturday. The Satria Neo Club and Perodua Viva Club Kuching Division joint gathering was the first of its kind to be held.

“Activities such as the one held today (yesterday) are aimed at getting to know all the club members from both clubs and to exchange ideas and opinions on our vehicles,” said Satria Neo Club Kuching division president Ahmad Zikrilah Abdullah.

He said the Satria Neo Club Kuching became active last year, with members all over the county and over 40 registered members in Sarawak.

“By joining our club, Satria Neo owners can have access to all sorts of benefits, and among them are technical support, activities such as convoys, charitable events and a lot more,” he said.

He added that the club will join Proton’s roadshow in future.

Meanwhile, Perodua Viva Club Kuching Division president Hasdi Lamat called on more Viva owners to join the club.

“Our club will be having a technical workshop soon, where an expert will help the members who wants to sort out technical issues with their Viva,” said Hasdi.

The club which also began last year has 27 registered members in Kuching and over 60 throughout Sarawak.

“Our next event would be a visit to the Perodua Service Workshop, aimed to educate members on the technical aspects of not only their cars, but all Perodua models as well.

“Our club is registered under the Ministry of Youth and Sports, so we have the full support from the government to conduct our activities,” he added. Both car clubs are planning to organise a charity drive in the near future. For more information go to www. satrianeoclub.com or www. peroduavivaclub. com.
